Business Insights ICT introduces the first version of i-Lighthouse iOS app aiming to facilitate people’s interaction with beacons,and leverage the advantages of Apple’s iBeacon™ technology by triggering actions based on two dimensions: time and location.

The captured beacon signal basically allows our application to understand “this is where you are” and “this is what you must do.” The added layer of contextualisation means our mobile devices, which uses this feature, aren’t blind anymore, which opens the door to a huge new realm of seamless interactions.
This is important, because the depth of the interaction relies on the information that produces it, with quality information is what allows you to contextualise why a person is in a particular location and what they might be doing there.

This version of our application can monitor only one region, defined by user and stored in device Settings under the title "Beacon Region Proximity UUID”. Moreover, the app recognises beacons with minor values 1001, 2001, 3001 for demonstration purposes, whereas the upcoming update will incorporate the ability of the app to download from the web the essential data as well as to operate both online and offline. Obviously, we can deliver a white label final product fine-tuned according to user-needs regardless the beacon provider or the number of devices needed to be installed.
Finally, our application uses the elegant and reliable Estimote© beacons, with the precious “flip to sleep” ability, and the powerful PARSE© platform for bidirectional push notification services.
